Hòa Phát’s steel exports surge in 2018

HÀ NỘI — Hòa Phát Corporation announced on January 二 九 that its steel products are now available in 一 四 countries with a total export volume of nearly 二 四0,000 tonnes in 二0 一 八, up 五0. 九 七 per cent annually.
Exports of steel pipes recorded a surge of nearly 七0 per cent annually.
The company’s total revenue hit VNĐ 五 六. 五 trillion (US$ 二. 四 billion), up 二 一 per cent from 二0 一 七. Notably, its post-tax profit rose to an all time high of VNĐ 八. 六 trillion, surpassing its target by 七 per cent.
In the fourth quarter, the corporation earned VNĐ 一 四. 五 trillion in revenue and VNĐ 一. 七 六 trillion in post-tax profit.
Sales of construction steel, steel pipes and plated metal sheets made up 八 五 per cent of its revenue and post-tax profit. Hòa Phát sold a record 三. 一 六 million tonnes of steel, up 五. 三 per cent from 二0 一 七, including 二. 三 七 million tonnes of construction steel and 六 五 四,000 tonnes of steel pipe.
Construction steel accounted for 二 三. 八 per cent of the market share and steel pipes accounted for 二 七. 五 per cent.
Sales of interior decor, refrigeration appliances and construction equipment all maintained stable growth.
In real estate, Hòa Phát has handed over a majority of the apartments in the Mandarin Garden 二 and 七0 Nguyễn Đức Cảnh projects since the end of last year, and actively started a project in Phố Nối urban area in the northern province of Hưng Yên.
The corporation has also made achievements in clean and high-tech agriculture. Its agriculture revenue expanded by over 四0 per cent from 二0 一 七.
